PATIENCE TO WAIT DOES NOT COME FROM SUFFERING

LONG FOR WHAT WE LACK

BUT FROM SITTING LONG IN WHAT WE HAVE.

The Lord will do great things for me, and I will be filled with joy.  I will sow in tears, then I will reap with songs of joy.  If I go out weeping, Lord, carrying seed to sow, I will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with me (Ps. 126:3, 5-6).

Please help me be willing to sow the seed of Your Word and to water it with my tears, believing You in the midst of my pain.  If I do, You will be faithful to fill me with joy again.  You will faithfully bring a harvest forth from my life.  My suffering will not be in vain.

You, the God of all grace, who called me to Your eternal glory in Christ, will restore me and make me strong, firm, and steadfast after I have suffered a little while (1 Peter 5:10).

  1. Amber Brooks

    Hi Jennifer,
You don’t know me, but I am your sister in Christ. My name is Amber Brooks. I am a college student living in Auburn, California. I just wanted to introduce you to, what I think is, a fantastic Christian website. http://www.AimHigherBooks.com.
Please visit it my website. It has exciting and interesting Christian graphic stories, cartoons and comic strips.
One is called The Devil His Due. It is about the rise and fall of a Christian rock star. It is very good. The number of readers is growing weekly.
Another is called Malachi. It is about a Christian private investigator and his wife. It is an exciting action packed adventure.
Another is called Snakeeyes. It is about a US Air Force officer and his wife, Lisa. Lisa has many problems and trials that are suspenseful.
Another is called Andy’s Little Friends. It is a cartoon type story that has an evangelical end. Very cute.
A funny comic strip called Human Beans has recently started. It is a lighthearted view of church life in Jelly Bean land. Funny and thought provoking.
A funny comic strip called The Empire Boys has recently started. It is a humorous peek into the life of miners during the 49er Gold Rush. A clean good-humored secular comic strip.
A new story is being drawn now and will start in 2008, it is called Black Birdmen. It is a tale of The Red Tails, a group of African-American pilots in WW2. It will be action packed and have an evangelical message.
There are many other free features on my website. Will you please check it out? Thank you in advance. Since we are a Christian family run website we are open for any Christian input. Please e-mail me back if you have any comments, questions, suggestions, or just want to chit chat.
    Love, in Christ, Amber
PS: Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, I also I post any news items that I think are of interest to my brothers and sisters in the Lord. Like prescription eyeglasses for only $8 a pair! Unbelievable, but true!
